weather in koh phangan, thailand?

my best friend and i have decided to plan a holiday to koh phangan to attend the famous full moon beach party (04/09/09). we already have “coco garden bungalows” in mind for our accommodation but was wondering if anybody could tell me what kind of weather to expect in early september? is it low season or high season? any information would be appreciated. thankyou!

September is the low season for tourism in Thailand, it’s also the rainiest month of the year in most of the country. It’s not too bad in the Koh Samui/ Koh Phangan region that time of year though. If it does rain it’s usually a brief and heavy thundershower that blows through quickly, but not always. This is a great website to check past weather history, have fun:

i want to go to the full moon party next month. but i’m travelling alone. is it safe?

going to thailand for a fortnight. my friend has dropped out. i’m not worried about the trip, just the full moon party. i really want to go there but i’m worried about being vulnerable as a single woman. shall i just skip the party altogether and do daytime activities instead?

Day time activities in Thailand are still very enjoyable, but I would avoid going to a full moon party on your own, it would leave you very vulnerable. Perhaps you could find another friend to join you?

How do I start golden full moon maple seeds to be planted?

I picked up several seeds off the ground around a golden full moon maple and would like to begin growing them. Does anyone have any tips or references they would recommend to make this successful. I appreciate your thoughts in advance.

I recently purchased some Japanese maple seeds and the directions for planting are as follows.
1.Stratify (stratification)
Put seeds in refrigerator making them believe that they have gone thru dormancy
Allow 120 days for refrigerator and 120 days of warmth
2.Scarify soak them for 24 hours or longer in warm water.
Some seeds ( very hard ones)actually need to be scarred or scratched.
Open the link below and read ti fully understand.
