Songkran Thai New Year – April 2005 part 1


I headed north to Chiang Mai from Bangkok via the over night train (sleeper) to experience Songkran (Thai New Year celebration). I had a blast! Afterward, I hopped on the 10 hour bus ride back to Bangkok to catch another bus to Trat (4 hour), and then make a connection via ferry to Koh Chang or Elephant Island (30 minutes). Koh Chang is very peaceful and green. I explored the island by moped.
